YCDC Approves 10 High Rise Buildings

Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) has now approved 10 high-rise buildings in nine townships across Yangon.
The high-rise buildings will be 12-32 floors high; they will be built in Botahtaung Township, North Okkalapa Township, Mayangone Township, Hlaing Township, Yankin Township, Thaketa Township, Tamwe Township, Bahan Township and Thanlyin Township.
Two of these projects will be implemented on the land owned by the Department of Urban and Housing Development and three others on land owned by the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Defense and the Department of General Administration. The five remaining projects will be built on private property.
According to the data from YCDC, 32 story buildings will be constructed in Hlaing Township and Thaketa Township. The lowest among these ten projects is located in Mayangone Township and the building will only be 11 stories high.
